Deviation update according to par.34 German Road Traffic Licencing Regulations (StVZO) for vehicles with air-suspended and/or hydropneumatically suspended axles:
The vehicle/vehicle combination must be equipped with a suitable device for axle load measurement or retrofitted by 30 June 2021 at the latest.
The axle load measuring devices are intended solely for the purpose of obtaining indications and therefore do not have to be calibrated.
To be considered suitable are:
• Pressure gauges (manometers) for checking the air spring bellows pressure in combination with a diagram in which the conversion from pressure to axle load can be read, approximately on the basis of a mathematical function (nomogram or similar) This is to be attached as a plate or sticker near the pressure measuring device.
• Pressure gauges for displaying the hydraulic pressure in hydropneumatic suspension in combination with a diagram in which the conversion from pressure to axle load can be read approximately on the basis of a mathematical function (nomogram or similar). This is to be attached as a plate or sticker near the pressure measuring device.
• Electronic systems for axle load monitoring by means of air suspension pressure measurement with a clear display of the axle loads for the axles with air suspension or, if necessary, also with the display of the total weight in the towing vehicle
• Electronic systems for axle load monitoring with a clear display of the axle loads for axles with air suspension as well as for axles with mechanical suspension or, if necessary, also with the display of the total weight in the towing vehicle
